CheapVPSDeals(CVD) is about cheap, unbiased listings of budget Virtual Private Server(VPS) deals. Our goal is to find and list all of the best VPS deals out there, so that you guys can reap the benefits! Without having to of wasted time looking everywhere yourselves! VPS’s are, as you may know, *extremely* useful, and usually even enjoyable!(except when things are going slow/not working right…grrr)
So what are VPS’s?
VPS’s are essentially the in between, shared hosting, and dedicated servers. As shared hosting typically only allow you to do websites, and nothing else. While Dedicated servers let you do everything but they also come with big price tags(eek)… so in enters VPS. With VPS You get root access, and can pretty much do anything and everything you can on a dedicated server, but without the expense. Yes! But wait what’s the catch? Well the catch is you have to share resources with other users, and if they’re being especially abusive they can slow things down for everyone else. But that’s a worse case, and depends on the what machine you’re on and how the provider has you setup.
If you’re new to the VPS world, and/or aren’t comfortable with Unix like operating systems as of yet(most VPS’s are linux) don’t worry, I plan on writing some quick start guides soon(with pictures) to help get you off onto the right foot!

- Simple fun playing around in a unix like environment(or windows)
- Automation tools that need to be online 24/7 see CVDBot
- And my favorite, redundancy! you can get VPS’s all around the world for the price of a typical single expensive one, and avoid that dreaded single point of failure!
And pretty much anything else you can think of!
