This is a newer provider whose plans are in Germany and they use their own hardware. Their checkout seems to let you do English part of the way, but turns German only towards the end, so you may want to have Google translate ready . Well this host has been around awhile, at a 11 years, and I think their prices are great too. You can have your VPS in either Los Angeles, Scranton, Germany or England. There’s no coupon code with this one, but the price is $2.95 a month. This provider was also kind enough to take the CVD Hardware Challenge, which i’m always happy to read, as a budget VPS consumer myself, I like seeing what’s under the hood before I buy, no different than a car. Well, i’m not really a fan of posting yearly deals, however, this one interests me because of the fact it’s a KVM, and since I have very few KVM’s listed on here I figured i’d try and add another. If you’re unfamiliar with KVM it’s a very nice virtual machine that has a huge following and is the mainline Linux kernel. I also like the fact this plan is IPv6 ready and in available in various locations. HTTP Zoom is a brand new division that the company HTTP Simple has just launched. HTTP Simple has been around over 3 years and focuses on the high end market. My correspondence with the owner was a real pleasure, he’s very friendly and intelligent, and I can tell he really knows what he’s doing. He was also kind enough to accept the CVD Hardware Challenge, and the plan I tested had one of the fastest hard drive I/O’s i’ve seen as well as 100Mbps throughput! But I guess it shouldn’t be that surprising since apparently they’re using 15k SAS drives in Raid 10! Also since this is a Xen offer it prevents overselling as well, which is great. This host is very new and their site seems pretty simple, no about us or similar, but they do have FAQ and their communication in email was pleasant enough.
